About
Us
This is the
Buckinghamshire Lifelong Learning Partnership website, keeping you
in touch with developments which contribute to the Learning County.
Like any other
organisation, be it a private company, charity or public sector
body, Buckinghamshire Lifelong Learning Partnership has an operational
framework to set policy and deliver actions. It is overseen by a
Steering Committee (see Membership
of BLLP for details).
The functional
activity of the Partnership is then delivered through a series of
area or project groups, the later focusing on generic countywide
issues. The present structure of these is as follows:-
Three 'Learning
Community Action Groups' covering Ayesbury, Chiltern / South Bucks
and High Wycombe.
4 project groups
covering the following topic areas:-
- 16 - 19 Transport/Education Maintenance Allowances
- Learning
Awards
- Workforce
Development - (This is a joint group with Buckinghamshire Economic
Partnership)
- Voluntry
Sector Learning Consortium
This framework
of operations for the Partnership has enabled it to engage an extensive
range of organisations and their staff. Whilst delivering specific
learning initiatives over the past five years a significant change
in culture has been fostered by enhancing communications, co-operation
and collaboration between the numerous partners engaged in various
facets of learning.
The Partnership
is not a legal entity but is a volujntary, non-statutory body, operating
out of an office in Aylesbury. Funding for the Partnership comes
from MKOB Local Learning and Skills Council and Buckinghamshire
County Council, plus successful bids to other bodies to fund specific
projects.
